Home EV chargers tailored quote

SafeElectric-certified home EV charger installation across Ireland. €300 SEAI grant handled for you. Solar-aware Zappi, Wallbox and Hypervolt — installed in one day. Contact us for a fixed quote.

Why install at home

Public charging in Ireland averages 50–65c/kWh. A home charger on a standard day tariff is around 35c/kWh, and on a night rate as little as 8–12c/kWh. For a 15,000 km/year EV that's €600–€1,000/year saved vs public charging.

Solar-aware charging

If you have solar, a Zappi or Wallbox Pulsar Plus can divert only surplus solar to your car — effectively free EV miles. We install the current-transformer (CT) clamps on your meter tail and configure the eco mode for you.

SEAI €300 grant

Owners or long-term lessees of an eligible EV / PHEV qualify for the €300 SEAI home charger grant. We're SEAI-registered and handle the application — grant deducted directly from your invoice. One grant per household.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does EV charger installation cost in Ireland?

Every install is different — cable run, board capacity and charger choice all affect the price. Send us a few photos and we'll give you a fixed, no-obligation quote the same day. The €300 SEAI grant is deducted at source for eligible households.

Is there a grant for home EV chargers?

Yes — SEAI offers a €300 grant toward home EV charger installation for owners or long-term lessees of an eligible electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.

What's the difference between 7.4 kW and 22 kW?

7.4 kW (single-phase) suits 95% of Irish homes — full charge overnight. 22 kW (three-phase) is faster but only works on three-phase supplies.

Which charger is best?

We install quality units from Wallbox, Zappi and Hypervolt — chosen to match your car, supply and whether you have solar.

Can I charge from my solar panels?

Yes — with a solar-aware charger like Zappi or Wallbox Pulsar Plus you can charge only from solar surplus. We install the CT clamps and configure this for you.
